Mighty Inferences

My Reflection :
For this task we had to read a little paragraph and make inferences to answer the question related to the story, what inference is finding out something that the author doesn't tell you.  I will use this work in the future because it will help me with movies and stuff.  My next step is to make more detailed and logical inferences.

Angles

My Reflection :
In class we have been learning to classify angles.  We learnt the type, size and what they look like.  I will use this work in the future because this will help me with my work in Intermediate.  The best part about this learning would've been finding pictures for each slide.  My next step is to learn the ABC angles or IDA (The finding angles using the letters) Better).

Camp Merc Recount

My Reflection
I found this easy because all I had to do is copy it from my test papers and just add a bit.  My next step is to use a bigger/more increased describing words.

Visualizing Task : The Evil Drinking Fountain

My Reflection :
I found this funny because we could create the origins the drinking fountain/how it became evil.  This was based of a story called 'The Evil Drinking Fountain' (By Rachel Stedman - School Journal Level 3 Febuary 2012), the reason behind this was because our group 'The Durty Dabbaz' was reading it.  My next step is to add more detailed art.

T3W5 - Stop Shark Finning

T4W5 Finding Factions Of Shapes And Sets

My Reflection
IALT use patterns to find fractions of shapes and sets.  This was so easy like this felt like stage 3 stuff because I burnt through it.  Anyway what we had to do was shade the boxes, for example "Colour in 3/4" or "Colour in 7/10".  The reason behind this was because for this term we were nailing factions.

Puntuation Evidence - T2WK8

My Reflection
(read the W.A.L.T).  I found this enjoyable because parts were you make your own sentences I really liked.  This will help me in the future because I learned how to use punctuation better in my writing.  

Samoa Language Week 2016

Reflection
I did this task with Nathan, we had to search up and find out facts about Samoa (and do other tasks too), the best part about this learning was finding out new and interesting facts about Samoa.  I enjoyed learning about Samoa because I didn't know these fun facts about Samoa.

Egbert And The Princess : Stereotypes

My Reflection
For this we had to list stereotypes for dragons and princesses, then we had to read the story 'Egbert and the Princess a fairy tale' (this story goes against typical dragon and princess stereotypes)and list the stereotypes in this story that goes against the typical stereotypes.  I found this very ludicrous, because it goes against the "typical" stereotypes.

Falling From The Sky - Writing

My Reflection
For this we had to include 4 new or different words, and 4 different types of punctuation.  The reason why we did this is because to prove what we know about punctuation, I found this easy and fun.  Next time I will improve my use of different and interesting words.

WALT Expand Decimal Numbers

My Reflection
In this class we have been learning to expand decimal fractions.  We had to insert/choose five different numbers(They were set ones)and expand it two different ways, as you can see #2 is different than #1 because for #2 we had to use fractions, I found this very straightforward because its like expanding normal digits.  The most valuable part of this was learning to expand decimals two different ways and that you can use is decimals and fractions. 

Using Punctuation Correctly: Commas

My Reflection
In class we have been learning to use commas correctly, we had to make a doc to prove what we've learnt about commas.  I found this easy because we've had a lot of practice before with commas.  This work will help me in the future because I've learnt how to commas more correctly. 

Popplet - R22 Powhiri For Clendon Park School

 My Reflection
The purpose of doing this was to brainstorm for the perfect recount.  I will remember this in the future because Popplet helped me to brainstorm.  I enjoyed typing this up because the memories from the day came back to me.  It felt pleasant to brainstorm about our Powhiri because it was a lively.

Korowai Slides

My Reflection
Walt clarify what we read to help with understanding, and create questions to show understanding.

In this class we have been learning about Korowai, because that was our subject/inquiry for Term 1, the most valuable part of learning about Korowai was learning the definition for the words I didn't know the meaning of .  I will remember this work in the future because it helped me by learning about Korowai and finding out the definition of words(which will hopefully help me in the future).  I found this Hard to complete because we had to create I wonder questions.

Art Evidence

My reflection
For this activity we had to make a feather using Zen-triangles. First we had to practice our whispering, talking and shouting pencils in our sketch book then we had to fill in spaces using those types of pencils, after that we drew a 3x3 grid and filled them in with zen-triangle patterns. Next we made a draft and finally we made our good copy. I found this fun, but tricky when it came to the designs , overall I think I did Good with my good copy. 

Subitising

My reflection
We did this activity with Room 24, my buddy was Thomas. Thomas and I worked on this together , this took us three days.  The reason why we made this was because before we made this slide in room 24 we worked on something like this, but the teachers made it and we had to find as many ways as we could to count this problem up. I found this easy and a little bit tricky because, I had to make different reflection's for each problem.

Planning and prewriting

My reflection
For this activity we had to make a poster that is based on the planning stage, and the purpose of this poster was to also help others. I did this task with Nathan, overall I think we did great, despite the fact that this was our second poster. I need to work on putting more detail in my writing.

Hello, and welcome to my blog for 2016. This year i'm year 6 and i'm in Room 22, my teacher is Matua Feanza. For this year my favourite two subjects this year would probably be Writing and Art, and as you can see my favourite colour is blue.
